Seunghye Park is an acclaimed pianist, composer and music producer who performs worldwide.
Recently, she won 1st prize and two special prizes (Osaka Mayor Award and Toccoa Falls College Award) at the Osaka International Music Competition.
She released her debut classical album, ‘The Virtuoso’ with Sony Classical. The album includes virtuosic works from Liszt, Prokofiev and Chopin and two of her compositions. Prior to the album, she released her solo digital single, ’Dolente’, which includes two tracks; ‘Winter Story’ and ‘Dolente’. Her composition ‘Winter Story’ ranked No.42 in the TOP100 Classical Chart from Genie Music.
She performed her own arrangements at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea. After the splendid performance, she released her first classical hip-hop crossover music album, ‘JS Twinkle (Our Story is About to Start)’.
Seunghye studied at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music with First Class Honours. She studied with professor William Fong with annual scholarship. She is currently studying for her master’s degree at Seoul National University. She received masterclasses from renowned pianists including Pascal Devoyon, Craig Sheppard, Eugen Indjic, Ian Fountain, David Kalhous and others.
Seunghye performed in many countries including South Korea, Czech Republic, Japan and the UK.
She performed in prestigious venues such as The Wigmore Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, Seoul Arts Centre, Duke’s Hall and Takatsuki Arts theatre. In 2022, she held her debut solo composition recital at Susie Sainsbury Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music where she performed her own compositions and arrangements.
She was chosen to perform at the Wigmore Hall from the ‘Jaques Samuel Junior Piano Festival 2015’ and was the winner of ‘The Mad About Mozart Competition’ ran by Classical FM, Sony Music UK and the world-renowned pianist Lang Lang. She was a prizewinner of numerous competitions including ‘Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition’, 'Amadeus International Music Awards', 'Korean Liszt Competition', 'Journal of Music Competition' and others. She performed concerto with Portobello Orchestra at St Peter’s Church at Notting Hill and was invited to perform at the ‘Korea x Taiwan Collaboration Concert’ which was held at the Korean Cultural Centre UK. Recently, she was a recipient of full scholarship awarded from the Czech Center Seoul, to participate and perform at the Prague Piano Festival in Czech Republic.
